It’s been awhile since I’ve read anything.  Life moves so fast sometimes that you forget all the good parts.  So, yearning for a good yarn, I turned to my local library this past week.  i wanted some head candy.  Something I’d read before.  Something simple.  “Kiss the Girls” met my criteria perfectly.

Each chapter is only two pages long, and the writing style couldn’t be simpler (or more accessible).  The switch back and forth between third and first person kept everything fresh, and the plot progressed at a blistering pace.  I eagerly ate the book placed in front of me.  The hours slipped by and before I knew it, I was finished.

Detective Alex Cross’s look into the sick and perverted world of the “Casanova” kidnapper was rather disturbing.  My revolt at the killer’s actions wasn’t enough to stop me from finding out what happened.

All in all, it was a a nice quick book to ease me back into reading.  I’ll be tackling harder fare later this week.  I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.  Few can so capture my attention like he did.
